AVW Productions had one of the busiest homecoming weekends ever here in Athens. Between the hour long special of Fridays Live, Alumni Awards Gala, Fox Paw Radio Show, and the Homecoming Parade we kept pretty busy.
The weekend kicked off with the Alumni Awards Gala in Baker Center Ballroom. Our portable studio team went out and shot the event and it was the first event shot with our brand new Tricaster Studio system.
Almost simultaneously, Fridays Live was setting up and producing an hour long special in Baker Center Theater. The special was the result of two weeks of work and featured Caz Finnegan as host and musical guest D.C. King of Hearts.
Bright and early the next morning, our portable studio team was at it again setting up for the 2011 Homecoming Parade. The parade was a 4-camera production done outside Baker Center and was broadcast live on WOUB2 and CatVision while also being streamed to our web player at www.AVW.me. Hosted by Ohio Sports Zone’s own Ryan Boyd and Kevin Noonan, the parade was a successful production for AVW.
Wrapping up the weekend was our coverage of the Fox Paw Radio Show in RTV Radio Studio A. A small AVW crew went to do a 3 camera coverage of the show and footage was given to Fox Paw to archive the show with an added audio recording from Eddie Ashworth and MDIA 414 students.
After all was said and done, it was a pretty successful weekend for AVW. Thanks to everyone who helped out! We couldn’t have done it without you!
