AVW’s brand new out-of-studio sketch comedy show premieres TOMORROW (Th., 4/1) at 9 p.m. in Seigfred Hall’s Mitchell Auditorium (room 519). Producer Alex Winfrey does not lie when he says, “Baby Mountain is an exciting new sketch comedy show that is sometimes funny, sometimes heartwarming, but always funny. Also, it’s always heartwarming.”

The cast and crew are featured in today’s Post. You won’t know what to expect, but that’s what makes it Baby Mountain. Click here for more info.

Be sure to pick-up a copy of today’s Post for a story about the costume sale! A big thanks to Jane Adams for taking some time to interview Dan and David about the importance of this fundraiser. Read the story here. There will be another story running in the next week about the new shows, including Talk of the Town.

OSZLIVE

Since Ohio Sports Zone has aired LIVE this quarter, we decided to take it to the next level. So on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m., AVW will air a live stream of the show to the Baker Front Room for the entire campus to see one of our great signature shows! That’s right, grab a coffee (or chai, or espresso), and enjoy coverage of the big Homecoming match-up against Miami, plus women’s volleyball and more! We are also excited to screen episodes of our sketch comedy show (Fridays Live), our out-of-studio drama (Maybe by Then), and our music show (Jukebox)!

It’s time to see just SOME of the great programming that AVW has been pumping out all-quarter.

A BIG thanks to 12 members for spending their Saturday morning in the chilly October air to help Parking Services with the big Homecoming game! For their hard work, AVW recevied $300, which will be divided among the shows represented. Parking Services said we were one of the better groups with which they have worked. They plan to ask us to help with basketball games, too. So expect to receive even more big checks!

We’re also excited to see the campus take note of our fundraising and production efforts, as we will be featured in not one, but TWO, stories for The Post! The student newspaper will write about our three new shows, and the costume fundraiser. Expect both to run by the end of the month. We’ll keep you updated!

As we know, money doesn’t grow on trees. So AVW is proud to announce its first fundraiser of the year…costume_flyer

Want a Halloween costume for as low as $5? Have clean, gently-used ones that you don’t wear anymore? We’ll take them! Then, buy from our inventory at prices Wal-Mart only wished it had. All proceeds go to the purchase of teleprompters for our studio shows and our new show Talk of the Town! (Thanks to TotT producer Kristi Ludlow for the fundraiser idea!)

THREE more Friday dates: 10/16, 10/23, and 10/30 from 11a to 1p, at the green between RTV and Hudson Health Center. We’ll also have promo items and free passes to see the Universal picture The Fourth Kind two days before its release!

To donate costumes or accessories, bring them to Baker 327 on Mondays from 12:30-2:30p or Thursdays from 2:30-4:30p.
